Product Description:
Ultrafiltration system (UF), also an efficient membrane separation
method, is widely used for solution purification and separation.
Its core is the ultrafiltration membrane filament for filtration.
The pressure difference between the two sides of the membrane then
provides the motive force. During the ultrafiltration process,
water molecules, inorganic salts, and small organic molecules can
pass through the ultrafiltration membrane smoothly, while large
molecules such as suspensions, colloids, proteins, and
microorganisms in the solution are effectively retained, thus
realizing the effect of purification and separation.
Its filtration precision and removal ability is weaker than reverse
osmosis, and minerals are still retained after filtration, which is
mainly applied to tap water purification, food processing, industry
and treatment.
Features:
1. Moderate filtration accuracy (0.01-0.1 μm)
It is between microfiltration and reverse osmosis, and can
effectively filter bacteria, viruses, suspended particles,
macromolecules and organic matter.
2. Minerals can be retained after filtration
Calcium, magnesium, potassium, sodium and other minerals, so it is
more suitable for drinking water.
3. No need for high pressure, low energy consumption
The working pressure of ultrafiltration membrane is generally
0.1-0.5 MPa, which is much lower than that of reverse osmosis (RO),
so it is energy-saving and has low operation cost.
4. No or little wastewater
UF is able to achieve 90-95% water recovery rate. Compared with RO
system, which has more than 30% waste water, UF system is more
water-saving and environmentally friendly.
5. Simple maintenance and long membrane life
The membrane can be regenerated by backwashing and cleaning, and
its service life is longer than that of RO membrane, generally
available for 3-5 years.
6. Cheaper than RO, investment savings

❌ Can not completely remove the very small size of the virus and
small molecules of organic matter, can be combined with ultraviolet
sterilization and ozone sterilization
